Almost everyone knows what a cheap flick is referred to as today and if not then cheap flicks are cinemas where you get to watch classical movies for a very cheap price. Almost every city’s downtown carries cheap flick today since they are old and have their own taste; a lot of people prefer going there since all time classic movies are being shown and nobody minds to spend a couple of bucks to watch them and pass some good time. Cheap flicks are also shown in a lot of movies like King Kong for example; just to give you an idea about what the picture is behind these cinemas.
Not long ago I was staying in Portland located in Oregon. There are quite a few cheap flicks established there and they are all located in historic buildings that make them one of a kind. These independent movie theatres are very cheap and fun at the same time. I saw a lot of movies during my stay over there and most of the cheap flicks only charged me as much as 3 dollars to watch a single movie. I mean usually a cinema would cost around 8 to 10 dollars easily to watch a single movie; you can watch around 3 movies at a cheap flick in this much.
I once went to Laurelhurst cheap flick to watch Slum dog Millionaire; I mean they had this great movie on and I watched it for 3 bucks only. Laurelhurst is an old cheap flick that is standing since the 1920s so you can imagine how classical will it be now. The décor this cinema carries is quite plain but the mirror situated in the lobby is just too impressive. It was the Art Deco era when this theatre was constructed and is one of the best cheap flicks in town today. You get to enjoy food such as pizza, fresh lemonade hand made, beer, wine, and other stuff on order. There are four movies shown in this theatre at a single time. There is a small table included in front of every seat; something that you do not get in every cinema or cheap flick.
No matter how awesome an old move theatre be; they all count as cheap flicks today and will not charge you much to enjoy an old feel of those years when things were considered to be new.
